Olmutz Conical Nose Helmet

The hull is made of 2mm steel plates, welded together in the middle. The nosepiece is hammered with 5mm steel bands and also welded to the hull. This extra strong nose section offers excellent protection during battle reenactments. The nasal is rounded at the lower edge. material: approx. 2mm steel. Nose force: approx. 5mm. Padded fabric lining and leather chin strap. Head circumference TM 61 cm, TL 63 cm.

This is a reconstruction following the well-known Czech Olmutz helmet from the 11th century, also called the Moravian nasal helmet. Our version of this helmet is large to allow for a padded cap and/or chainmail coif underneath, as was common.
