THE SWORD OF ROBIN HOOD
According to the legend, in the forest of Sherwood, in the county of Nottingham, a singular bandit lived many years ago, since his dedication was to steal from the rich to give it to the poor, since the disinherited of the fortune had to pay exorbitant taxes to the King, for this reason he was always in dispute with the sheriff, who persecuted him with great tenacity, but without any result. The name of that bandit was Robin Hood or Robin of the Woods. The weapons he handled best were the bow and arrows, to the point of being considered the best archer in England. His forays took place in Nottingham.
Many history experts opt for a character who really existed, but under other names. Some dare to say that it was the Earl of Huntington who began his private crusade against the King, because he had stripped him of his title of Earl. From then on he lived in the woods until he was badly wounded, dying in Kirklees Friary . Before dying he shot an arrow and asked to be buried in the place where it was stuck . Currently, on that site there is a tombstone with the name of our character, Robin Hood.
Others tell that Robin was going home with Marian Gilewater . But every story has a beginning, and in this case it is told that Robin was going to marry a lady, Marian Gilewater , but the ceremony is interrupted and Robin is declared an outlaw by King John the Landless. The excuse for this was that King John – King John without Land-, who was in love with Marian. Robin settles in Sherwood Forest and begins his raids against the king's interests. Until one day he meets a knight – King Richard (Ricardo Corazón de León) – who helps them to fight King John, getting him to be banished. Robin Hood regains his titles, marries Marian, and they are happy.
Robin Hood has appeared in a multitude of series, comics, and movies. In 2010 one of them was released, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe.
