This bevor neck guard was made from 1.6mm steel and reinforced in the muzzle area by adding an additional plate. The steel has been creased in the muzzle and chest area to minimize the chance of injury. The leather strap allows for size adjustment. weight: approx. 0.9 kg - finish: polished (lightly oiled).
This gorget reconstruction is based on an original made by German gunsmith Matthes Deutsch approx. 1480 AD The original belongs to the Royal Armories and is on display in the Tower of London. The gorget is made from 16G steel and includes an adjustable back plate with leather straps and buckles. The chin section is also adjustable. Finish: polished (oiled).
