Functional swords

Special swords for combat and training. Made of carbon steel and differentiated into several categories according to their use.

Functional Swords category A:

They are the best quality carbon steel sheets. Perfectly balanced and tempered until reaching great hardness. They can be used regularly in full-contact combat and are suitable for professionals.

  • The minimum hardness is 50 HRC.
  • They are full spigot, screwed or welded to the handle.
  • Unsharpened and with rounded edge.
  • Light and manageable with the center of gravity perfectly balanced.

Functional Swords category B:

High quality and well-balanced carbon steel swords, but of less hardness than category A. They withstand controlled combat well and without strong blows. They should be used with swords of the same hardness. They cannot be guaranteed because they can be damaged if they hit harder leaves.

  • The minimum hardness is 48 HRC.
  • They are full spigot, screwed or welded to the handle.
  • Lightweight and easy to handle with a balanced center of gravity.

Functional Swords category C:

Training or recreation swords without combat. Tempered carbon steel swords of good quality but which may not be well balanced. Due to their quality, they are functional weapons but without guarantees in use for real battle due to their lower hardness and low resistance. Not knowing the use that has been given, they can not be guaranteed.

  • Leaf hardness less than 48 HRC.
  • They are full spigot, screwed or welded to the handle.
  • Non-optimal balanced.
