Knights Templar Sword with Engraving and Scabbard
Functional Templar sword with hardened steel blade that was tempered to a Rockwell hardness of approx. 48-50 HRC. It is engraved with the inscription MILITARIS TEMPLI on one side and three crosses pattée on the other side of the blade. It is full tang and riveted to the pommel. The 2mm thick blunt edges and the rounded tip of the blade make this sword ideal for combat recreation. - Blade material: spring steel, tempered- Handle material: wood covered in leather. - Total length: approx. 109 cm. - Blade length: approx. 89 cm. - Width of the blade at the guard: approx. 5cm. - Blade thickness: approx. 2 mm, slightly rounded. - Weight: approx. 1.3 kg (approx. 1.8 kg with cover). - Leather sheath with belt.
CATEGORY B: Carbon steel swords of high quality and well balanced, but less hard than category A. They support well controlled combat without strong blows. They must be used with swords of the same hardness. They cannot be guaranteed because they can suffer damage if they collide with harder blades, so it is recommended not to use them with Category A swords. The minimum hardness is 48 HRC. They are full tang, bolted or welded to the grip. Light and easy to handle with a balanced center of gravity. They have a blunt edge and are not sharp. These types of swords are intended for performing arts, recreation, historical fencing (HEMA) training and combat.
