The ax known as Pico de Cuervo used by the cavalry in southern Germany, was a short weapon between 50 and 80 cm, which used to have a wooden handle. Its armored head consisted of a long, curved beak, which gave it its name, and an ax blade, lighter than normal. It measures 75 cm long and weighs 945 gr. It is made of wood and metal.
