Early Scottish Dirk

This dagger is a direct descendant of the medieval dagger "ballock" ("ballock-dagger"). The shape of the fist began to change, probably at the end of the sixteenth century, to develop a form that was purely Scottish. The blade was long and single-edged. Made to wear alone, with a shield and sword, or simply with a Claymore. It is a replica of an original previous to Dirk. The fist made with resistant wood is carved following the "Chevron" design (symbol used in heraldry and which has the shape of a compass). Manufactured in carbon steel. Essential for collectors. Includes pod. Total length: 53 cm Sheet: 38 cm Length, 4 cm width, 0.47 cm thickness Weight: 454 g
