Carried for hundreds of years by warriors from Persia to the Caucasus, the "Qama" was an effective knife in close combat. Hand-forged blade made of high carbon steel. Knob of buffalo horn. Double-edged blade finished in a point. The Qama is the antecedent of the Roman Gladius. The Qama was carried by the Cossacks and the Persians from the north. It was considered as the national weapon of Russian Georgia. Includes wooden sheath covered in leather.
