Katana Shogun Ryü Tatsu with maintenance kit
Shogun Ryü Tats katana, handcrafted in the Longquan Mountains in China's Zhejiang Province by expert forgers using centuries-old traditional methods. The blade is forged from high carbon 1095 Steel, and tempered in clay using the hamon method. Its Rockwell hardness is 45-48 HRC and the edge is hardened between 56-58 HRC. The tsuba and collar are made of brass with an antique finish, and have depictions of flying dragons, which in Japanese mythology were associated with rain and bodies of water. The grip is made of genuine stingray skin. The scabbard is made of matte black wood with shiny water droplets. Includes carrying and storage bag and cleaning kit.
