Like us, the Vikings and the Almogavars also had to dress enough to avoid falling victim to the cold. But what were the methods then? Today mainly used as rugs, lambskins were very popular in the Middle Ages. Shoulder skins were very easy to fasten with a leather cord or chain. Especially in winter, lambskin was wonderfully warm. But even when the days became longer again and the sun shone more often, the furs were still quite useful, for example, to make chairs or stools more comfortable.
