This Roman helmet (also called an igaleai or icasisi) is an exact replica of a helmet from the mid-1st century AD Gallic Imperial helmet G Weisenau recovered from the Rhine River in Mainz-Weisenau, Germany. The remarkably well-preserved original iron and bronze artifact is on display for people to admire at the iMuseum im Andreasstifti in Worms, Germany. Typical features of this particular type of helmet were (among others) the sloped neck guard, distinctive brows, frontal reinforcement, and decorative circular rosette bulges.
