Roman Auxiliary Helmet Witcham Gravel

Steel Roman auxiliary cavalry helmet, with crest. This beautiful Roman helmet is a reproduction of a late 1st century Roman helmet (approximately AD 50-75) unearthed around 1870 by peat cutters near Witcham Gravel, Cambridgeshire, England, and now on display in the British Museum From london. This reconstruction of the Witcham Gravel Auxiliary Cavalry Helmet with Hinged Cheek Guards is made from 1.2mm (18 gauge) steel and richly embellished with brass fittings. As the interior is not lined, we recommend the use of an additional padded cap to make it completely wearable. Small rings are placed on the inner side of the cheek plates to easily attach a chin strap (not included).
