Mini Targe, small Scottish round shield with brass fittings. The Scottish Highlanders' aim was not only an effective protective device used to block enemy blows, but also a powerful blunt weapon. The hand target we offer here is a scaled down version of the famous Highland targets best known for their use by the Jacobites (the supporters of the exiled Stuart King James II and his descendants) in late 17th century Scotland. Its intricate pattern is inspired by several original historical pieces. Although half the size of a conventional Scotch round shield, this handcrafted mini target is just as visually appealing as its larger counterparts.
