These types of swords are intended for performing arts, recreation, historical fencing (HEMA) training and combat. The thick edges are not sharp and the full tang of the blade is riveted to the pommel. The wooden hilt has a tight binding of brown leather cord. It is framed by a robust pommel and straight crosshead, both made of steel.
