Case with two dueling pistols from the 18th century for collection, decoration or gift. Each measures 39.5 cm. Compared to duels with swords, the use of this type of weapon equalized the opponents since they were in the same conditions when shooting. The duel was produced by the will of one of the parties to wash away an insult to their honor. The objective was not only to kill the opponent but to achieve the satisfaction of victory by restoring one's honor by risking one's life to defend it. In many countries duels were not officially recognized to save honor, so duelists resorted to holding them in hidden places and almost always at dawn.
