The Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend in German) was the youth organization of the Nazi Party in Germany during the regime of Adolf Hitler. These youths played an important role in promoting Nazi ideology and preparing young Germans to become future party members and serve the state.

Within the Hitler Youth, there were various branches and divisions, including the Deutsches Jungvolk (German Youth League) for children ages 10 to 14 and the Hitlerjugend proper for youth ages 14 to 18. In these youth organizations, camaraderie, nationalism, obedience, the cult of Hitler's personality and military preparation were encouraged.

As for the daggers or knives used by the Hitler Youth, there were several different types and models. One of the best known was the "HJ Fahrtenmesser" or traveling knife of the Hitler Youth. This knife featured a steel blade with the emblem of the Hitler Youth etched into the blade. Also, the hilt of the knife used to have engravings or inscriptions related to the organization.

These knives were not proper combat weapons, but rather symbolic and prestigious items for members of the Hitler Youth. They were used in outdoor activities, camping, marches and ceremonies. In addition, they were given to young people as a prize or recognition for their loyalty and active participation in the organization.

Today, the daggers and knives of the Hitler Youth are considered collectibles and are sought after by some collectors interested in the history of World War II and the Nazi regime.
